Choose HAPPY! 11/18/2024
Hello, Wonderful Wilson Families!
I hope you are getting ready for the break next week! Just a reminder that there will be no school next Wednesday (27th), Thursday (28th) or Friday (29th)! Enjoy the break!
Choose HAPPY!
I have encouraged our students to share with their families, 3 happy things that happen each day! Please talk to your child about some special things you can plan for during the break next week!
Thanksgiving Break-November 27th-29th-No School
PTA
We want to thank our PTA for all they do for us! They have been extra busy these last few weeks with Halloween, the carnival, and the Book Fair! Thanks so much to Kelci Starks, Rachel Hansen and Cecily Shepardson, for all their extra work!
We want you to be aware of other things that our PTA does for our students! They are such a HUGE help to our students and to our teachers! Please see the attachment to see what PTA does for us!
Helping Those Around Us!
We have a great opportunity to help those around us! If you know of families that need extra food, coats, hats, mittens, etc., please reach out to us and let us know how we can help! We want all of our families to get the resources they may need!
School Lunch and Eating with Your Child
Please be aware that our school policy is that parents that want to eat lunch with their children need to either pick them up and take them to have lunch somewhere, have the office help them find another place besides the lunchroom to eat, or let their children eat on their own. We understand that occasionally parents need to be with their children for various reasons, and we can adjust for that, but this shouldn't be a usual practice. Thank you!
PLEASE DO NOT come on school property at the end of the day!
We are having many parents/siblings come on the school property and waiting by their child's outside door at the end of the day.
Those picking up Wilson Students need to wait in front of the school, on the west side of the building, or behind the building, at the east side drop off. Please do not on the playground or school property.
School Drop-Off and School Safety-PLEASE read carefully!
*PLEASE park your car if you plan to walk your child to his/her teacher. Do not leave your car in the drive-through.
*Please make sure your child knows your plan for after school. If you are picking your child up, help him/her know exactly where you will be coming.
*Preschool and kindergarten students will be dropped off on the west side of the school in the mornings and picked up on the east side of the school in the afternoon.
*If you have students picking up their siblings, please help them know where to meet you or if they are to head home.
*Please encourage your child to head home right after school. We do not have the supervision to watch students for long periods of time after school.
*PLEASE be patient and help each other out as we drop our students off and pick them up. This is not the time to be in a hurry or to rush in and out of the lanes. Be considerate of others and know that everyone wants to start the day off in a happy manner!
In general and throughout the year, please remember the following so we are able to keep our students safe as they come to school and leave at the end of the day:
*In the morning, all drop offs should be done on the west side of the school at the main entrance.
*Parents are NOT to park in the drop-off lane. If you need to park, please pull in a stall and park.
*At the end of the day, parents need to wait outside of the school for their child, unless they are picking him or her up earlier than when dismissed. If this is the case, parents need to come to the office and check their child out.
*Parents may pick their child up in the drop-off lane on both the east and west sides of the school.
*PLEASE make sure your child knows where you will pick him/her up after school.
*If older siblings (from other schools) are picking up your child, they need to wait on the lawn by the lunchroom. They are not allowed in the school or at other doors of the school.
