Carruth House
Whangarei Boys' High School - Term 4 Edition 1 2017
Formal Dinner and NCEA Examinations!
Wow! So here we are - almost the end of the year. The Annual Formal Dinner was once again an awesome night to remember! It was our pleasure to have the Whangarei Mayor Sheryl Mai, Deputy Mayor Sharon Morgan, Whangarei MP Dr Shane Reti and many other invited guests to the most important evening on the Carruth House calendar. The haka from the boarders just keeps on getting better every year and choosing the actual prize winners can be very difficult sometimes when many other boarders also deserve it. Those who missed out, just remember, "Quitters never win and winners never quit."
All the senior boarders are busy revising for their NCEA Examinations. Many have been doing extra revision and seeing teachers for extra support. I have even had boarders asking me about Maths - good old calculus! Who would ever forget it? I wish all the boarders well in their exams.
We have hit the swimming pool "big time." The boarders love it; even if there was ice floating on top of it! Thanks to Mr Harold for getting it up and running.
