EDUDANCE Concert
Our EDUDANCE concert yesterday was very well attended and I’m sure you’ll agree that it was a great showcase of what the students have been learning during lessons in Term 2. I would like to thank our EDUDANCE teacher, Miss Winter for her wonderful instruction of our students this term. I would also like to thank our parents and grandparents who cooperated very nicely with all the movement to allow families the best opportunity to view their child's dance. All booked again for next year!
Student Images
With any event at the school, such as the EDU-Dance concert yesterday, there is always lots of photos and videos taken of our students from parents and grandparents in our community. We ask that these photos and videos are enjoyed in the family setting only and not shared or posted on social media sites. We have families in our school who have not consented to their child's image being used or shared in any way. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Year 5 Assembly
Tomorrow at 8.50am Miss Jenzen and Year Five class will present their assembly item in the hall. I know they have been working hard and I am really looking forward to seeing what they come up with. It promises to be great fun.
Reports
On Wednesday 26th June (Week 11), the student reports will be made available online to families through SEQTA. These reports contain specific information relating to each individual student’s achievement at this point in time. I encourage you to spend time with your child/children, going through their report, to celebrate the successes and work to be done to achieve even better results. The teachers here at Queen of Apostles have spent a great deal of time gathering data and writing individualised comments so you have an accurate picture of where each student is at. I would like to thank them for their time and commitment to this task.
Premier's Reading Challenge
The Premier's Reading Challenge is on again this year and runs from Monday 6th May to Friday 6th September. To register simply go to premiersreadingchallenge.wa.edu.au
I encourage you to nominate and read as many books as you can during the time period.
Good Luck!
Best Wishes

Hi URStrong Families.
It has been great to hear of the lessons about friendships happening in our classrooms. I hear teachers talking about how they are using URStrong language when dealing with 'Friendship Fires' that happen from time to time.
One excellent strategy to deal with conflict at school or at home is called 'Talk It Out'. This is one of the important steps in the 'Friend-o-cycle' (attached) that I and other teachers have been encouraging students to do. It helps address the issue and leads to 'forgive and forget' so that relationships can become 'closer and stronger'.
With time and practice our aim is to make this action a good habit that comes easier to apply when needed. We welcome you to encourage your children to 'talk it out' at home ;)

Report Time is Coming!
Semester One reports for students will be available for parents on SEQTA Engage at the end of Term 2, so now is the time for you to check your login to make sure you have access.
New families from Year 1 to Year 6 and all Pre Primary families will have received a welcome email directing you to set up your account for SEQTA Engage. Both parents have been sent the email, however if you are happy to operate just one login for both parents, you don’t need to set up the second one. If you can’t see the email in your inbox please check your Junk or Spam folders as sometimes these emails will appear there as they are sent in bulk.
Kindy reports are sent home with the children and are not available on SEQTA Engage.
Please check your access now and contact the office if you have any problems. Don’t wait until the last week of term to check.
