MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
GLOW Students & Families,
Happy New Year! I hope that our students, staff, and families enjoyed a wonderful break, a happy holiday, and that you are looking forward to all that lies ahead in 2025!
As we start off the 2nd Semester in the 24-25 school year, we continue to be grateful that you have chosen GLOW to provide your student a full and enriching secondary school experience and to prepare them for the the next step in their academic journey. We are committed to excellence in this work and are honored to do it in partnership with your, our parents and families.

💫 HAPPENING THIS WEEK 💫
2nd Semester Schedules - Monday
Monday, January 6 is the start of a new semester, so we will begin our day in Leadership Advisory to receive their new schedules and watch the morning announcements.
Students will report to Leadership Advisory at 8:15 and remain in this class until 8:30 AM.
Lost & Found - Last Call!
A table has been set up in the cafeteria with clothes, coats, lunch boxes etc. that have been in Lost and Found for several months.
Students, please check to see if any of the items belong to you.
The table will remain in the cafeteria with items on display until Friday, January 10th when all unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill.
Prom Committee Meeting
Prom Committee will be meeting Monday, January 6th, in Saklad Hall from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Committee members should come prepared to discuss their ideas from their small committee.
Please be sure that your ride is here promptly to pick you up at the end of the meeting. I

Middle School Science Olympiad
Happy New Year from Ms. Moore and Ms. Sampaio, your child's Science Olympiad coaches!
We are looking forward to our competition on Saturday, March 8th at Trask Coliseum on the UNCW campus. Because the competition is only two months away, we are asking that students attend practices on both Mondays AND Tuesdays beginning the week of January 6th.
Students should check their email for more updates and details.
College Discovery Day
Class of 2028, College Discovery Day is on this Thursday, January 9th!
On Thursday, our 9th graders will join College Access and guest presenters at UNCW to learn more about the college application process and to create goals for their remaining 7 semesters of high school.
