The Final Stretch

Good morning, TLC families.

Believe it or not, we are entering the final stretch of this semester. When we return from Spring Break, we will only have about 30 days of school remaining. Remember, our schoolwide goal is for every one of our students to pass ALL of their classes. We want everyone to be on track to graduate, on time. We will have academic support after school (ESS) every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15-5:15. Please email Ms. Smith at jamill.smith@fayette.kyschools.us for more information.

Please make sure you have access to Canvas, EOS, and Infinite Campus, so you can support your student behaviorally and academically.

Please review the important dates below:

April 3rd Community Portfolio Event from 9:00-11:30 and 1:00-3:00. Sign up using the following form. Please share with anyone that may be interested.
April 17th BCTC Dual Credit Application Event and April 24th BCTC Enrollment Event. This is an opportunity for students to apply and enroll in BCTC classes at a discounted rate while still in high school. We will send out more information as we get closer to the dates.
April 24th Spring Academic Conferences from 5:00-7:00 at TLC. This will be an opportunity for parents and teachers to work together to create plans for student success. We will send out more information as we get closer to the date.

TLC School Improvement Update

Here are our goals for the 24-25 school year:

1. ATTENDANCE--We want every student to have a minimum of 85% attendance for the entire school year.

CURRENT STATUS--Our school wide average daily attendance for the Fall Semester is 82%.

2. ACADEMIC GROWTH--We want every student to pass all of their classes.

CURRENT STATUS--52% of TLC students passed all their classes. Overall, the passage rate for all classes at TLC is 79%

3. LIFE READINESS--We want every student to meet the requirement for post secondary readiness according to the Kentucky Department of Education.

CURRENT STATUS--44% of our Seniors have demonstrated post secondary readiness according to KDE.
