Kids Run the OC - May 3rd
Hi VPE Run Club Families!
We are looking forward to assisting & cheering your kids on next Saturday, May 3rd at the Kids Run the OC Event!
Please see the slideshow attached in the email, with important information we went over during the parent meeting. Inside, you will find the map (the VPE tent is red-8) AND your child's race time. Here are a few important reminders:
*Parking is $12.00 — the parking lot is crazy, we encourage you to carpool! The earliest you can arrive is 6:30am.
*Please come to the VPE tent to check in (red-8 by the staging) and you will receive your child's race bib, claim ticket, and race shirt.
*Please note your child's race time and ensure you arrive no later than an hour prior to their race time.
*Kids can run BOTH the open heat AND their age race but only ONE time will be recorded.
*Make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing (we encourage VPE shirts!) and is well hydrated
*You MUST accompany your own child (no drop-offs allowed)
*A map of the event is located in the PowerPoint and can be found online using the link below. Extra copies are also available in the office.
Almost ALL your questions can be answered at https://kidsruntheoc.org/but you can also e-mail us with any questions.
We are so excited!

Help us improve our Daily Attendance
Avoid unnecessary absences. Ask about Independent Study contracts for extended absences. Bring your child to school late or take them out early for doctors appointments.
Chronic Absenteeism: If your child currently has 10 or more absences, he/she is in danger of being "chronically absent". Please call our attendance office to discuss and check on how many absences your child has.
Help us reach our goal of achieving 96% attendance by the end of the school year.
🔔🕗Be on time to school each day. Bell rings at 8:00 a.m. and students must be inside our gates at this time. Gates may be open for just a couple more minutes. Please be aware that teachers are the ones on duty in our parking lots (front and back) and they MUST come in right when the bell rings to pick up their class. Once the back gate closes, students must be dropped off in the front of the school. Thank you for your cooperation.
