----------------------------The week of May 8-12, 2023--------------------------
COURSE REGISTRATION
Students currently in grades 5 and 6 will not need to do course registration for next school year, 2023-24 due to the exploratory sequence of course electives. Students currently in grade 7 should have received a google form link from their advisory teacher to choose course electives for 23-24.
VIRTUAL ACADEMY LIBRARY
You can have up to 2 books checked out at a time. Any questions, please call Virtual Academy at 952-707-2900.
Filtering Change on District Student Chromebooks
Next week we'll be making an adjustment to the way your middle school student's district Chromebook is being filtered. Currently there are different filters for Chromebooks during the school day and for outside of school hours. We will be modifying the filters to establish one filter. This will mean that streaming media and games will be blocked outside of school hours. This change is being made to ensure that student Chromebook use is targeted to school related use.
Additional Home Filtering
If you are interested in learning about additional options in your home, we encourage you to learn about the parental controls that are now common through internet service providers. Xfinity is one of the most common internet providers in our district and has helpful information on setting parental controls. https://www.xfinity.com/hub/parental-controlsCOURSE REGISTRATION
