MSMS March Madness is here!
First let me say a big thank you to our community for their support of our school budget. This enables us to begin the big work of getting ready and hiring for next school year.
Hiring and Next Year Additions!
As we approach hiring season for next school year, please remember we are still actively working to find caregivers and parents that are willing to serve on interview and screening committees! This is a great way to get involved and help us select the very best to join our school community! Please let me know if you would be willing to serve our school community in this way!
I am very excited that with the budget passing we will be adding two new positions to MSMS for the fall. We will have an additional literacy interventionist to support our students in grades 5-8 in becoming proficient readers. We also will be increasing our school counseling services from one counselor to two! Mrs. Bravakis will have a partner to help support our amazing students and bring us in better line with counselor student ratios. Part of this summer's building work will be to create an updated guidance suite to support this new team.
MSMS March Madness!
This month we are doing fun spirit activities each Friday. Each TA has a representative to compete against other TAs on fun spirited activities. Last week, the challenge was a "Face the Cookie" moving an Oreo from their forehead to their mouths with nothing other than gravity and their face muscles. It was a lot of fun. This week's challenge is stacking the marshmallows in Lucky Charms with chop sticks! Thanks to our school Leadership Team for organizing these fun events! We will also be having a staff/8th grade basketball game this year.
7th & 8th Grade Dance
This Friday, is our 7th and 8th grade winter dance at the MSMS gymnasium from 6 - 8:00 pm. Thank you to our Caregiver volunteers that are signed up to support our students have a fun and social way to connect! And thanks to the Leadership Team (again) for their work in pulling these dances and social events together!
Caregiver Conferences
Mark your calendars! Caregiver conferences are at the end of the month on the 31st! This is a non-school day for your student. We will have sign-up information coming soon!
