Magyar's Message May 31, 2024
-From The Desk of the Superintendent-
Dear ALCS Families,
Good-bye May, hello June and the remaining days left of school!
You can feel the excitement in the air as our seniors finished school this week and are preparing for Commencement June 7. Our middle, intermediate and elementary schools have lots of fun activities planned to finish out the year. Thank you to our staff and the many volunteers who make these events possible throughout our schools.
Congratulations and good luck to our State track qualifiers: Claire Springer (shot put), Ava Luczak (shot put), and Max Riley (shot put).
We are already looking towards summer and are pleased to announce the dates for our upcoming Coffee Talks. These informal discussions are a chance for the community to come out and engage with district leadership on any topics you wish to discuss. We want to hear from you. Bring your questions, ideas, concerns….anything! Let’s spend some time together away from the hustle and bustle. We look forward to seeing you from 9 to 10 a.m. Bring your Avon Lake friends and neighbors. Thank you to the businesses listed for hosting.
June 12: Emilie’s Coffee House, 457 Avon Belden Rd.
June 26: Rio Coffee Brewery, 33388 Walker Rd.
August 7: McDonald’s, 32799 Walker Rd.
August 14: The Kitchen, 32822 Walker Rd.
The district will also be implementing a second Champions program (before/after school care) at Eastview Elementary School in the Fall. We will provide additional details and registration information over the summer.
Enjoy the last weekend of the school year. Let’s finish strong next week.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools.
Sincerely,
Joelle Magyar
