Evening of One Acts January 20, 26 & 27
What can happen when an interloper pretends to be righteous to gain wealth and power? Burnsville High School Theatre Guild will explore this question in upcoming performances of French playwright Moliere’s 1664 comedy “Tartuffe,” adapted by Noyce Burleson.
What happens when an interloper pretends to be righteous to gain wealth and power? Moliere’s 1664 comedy Tartuffe satirizes hypocrisy, blind piety and deceit. Tartuffe is a religious hypocrite who ingratiates himself into the lives of Orgon and his mother Madame Pernelle. Everyone else in the family sees Tartuffe for who he really is. But is it too late to save the family from tragedy?

Early Childhood Screening
Do you have another child who will begin kindergarten this fall or next? If so, it's a great time to schedule an early childhood screening. The state of Minnesota requires health and developmental screening for every child before they start kindergarten. Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 offers this service at no cost.
Screening is an early look at a child's development and begins as early as age three. This can give parents peace of mind that their child is developing normally, and if needed, allows health and developmental concerns to be addressed at least one to two years before a child enters kindergarten.
Early childhood screening checks:
Fine and gross motor skills
Vision and hearing
Speech and language development
Height and weight
Cognitive and social development
Immunizations
Scan the QR code to schedule your early childhood screening. Learn more at communityed.isd191.org/early-childhood/early-childhood-screening
Want to Volunteer?
A background check must be completed before being allowed to volunteer, which includes field trip chaperones. Please note that it takes a few days to process.
