Together We Shine.....Family Rocks!!!
Week of September 9th 2024
Hello Wonderful Northridge Elementary folks,
We had another great week....the children are working very hard. You would be so very proud of how we have settled in to a great school year. We continue to talk/teach about expectations, routines, and procedures. Last week, thanks to PTO, we kicked off our PBIS year with a visit from Basketball Jim Jones who spoke about being the best that you can be, shining as an individual and with others, setting goals, doing the right thing, leadership, etc. It was a great, fun assembly and aligned with our beliefs of shining brightly in celebrating kindness, inclusion, getting along, helping others, doing what's right, etc.
In a few weeks we will have another assembly addressing our NR BEE Mission: Empowering All Students To Reach Their Fullest Potential and Viking Values: Trust, Leadership, Communication, Collaboration, Accountability, Integrity & Respect.
Group and individual pictures went awesome!! The kids smiled BRIGHT. Thanks for your support! Pictures will come in within the next few months. We will have a retake day and if you missed this round of pictures due to absence we will take those too. We will announce the day for you to partake.
Thank you for updating FINAL FORMS with emergency contact information on your child. We are almost complete....we have 60 families we are needing to update NOW. :) We emailed you if we are missing your file or signature. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. We have field trips planned and need to also be prepared when we take kids off campus.
We have folks wanting to volunteer in our school or perhaps attend upcoming field trips. Please complete these forms as part of our security process formality. Please complete both.

BIG, BIG, BIG, HUGE reminders for everyone:
-Please always check into the office, when visiting school. We do this for security purposes. Have your ID ready please for check in!
-Please follow the TRAFFIC rules when on campus. Watch for our children and families. Please drive 20 mph at the most. Watch for our children and families.
-Please DO NOT allow children to hang out car/van windows when dropping off children OR leaving school, as we are so concerned about safety. We do not want anyone to get hurt. We are concerned they may fall out.
-Please do keep a keen ear on your children during on-line game playing. Some games are very dangerous for children and they are bringing their disappointing results/losses into school and the conflict resolution is tough. We are asking for family help with this.
