MCA Testing
MCA Reading testing begins next week in English classes for all grade levels. If you could ensure your child gets enough sleep, eats a good breakfast, and come to school with charged Chromebooks. If your child wants to use their own headphones for testing, they have to be wired. No wireless headphones can be used of any kind.
Solar Eclipse (Monday)
On Monday, our viewing of this event changed due to the rainy weather. At the peak time of 2:02 it was cloudy and unable to be seen within our part of the country. A big thank you to all of our Science teachers on their preparation for this event. Even though students did not get the opportunity to view, they learned a lot through classroom activities, discussions, and projects that prepared for this event.

Field Trip
All students will have the opportunity to attend a field trip on the last day of the school year. Our 6th grade students will be going roller skating and our 7th & 8th grade students will be attending Wild Mountain.
I am going to be monitoring behavior, tardies, and academics. These three categories will be used to determine what students will be staying back at school on the last day. I will be meeting with students who are on the verge of missing out on this opportunity throughout the quarter. At midterm, I will communicate with parents and guardians if your child is on the verge of not going on this trip.
