Message From Our Principal

Happy Friday Families,


Today's Fun Run was so much fun! Our students had an absolute blast! The week was so exciting for them, as they enjoyed milestone rewards in their homerooms and daily fun lunch updates. Thank you for supporting our students and surpassing our fundraising goal! Check out some of the cool selfies from our "principal lap".


The monsters are still accepting candy for our annual Trunk or Treat event. We look forward to seeing you here next Friday for the family fun event. Our lost and found still runneth over, so remember to check for any lost items, next time you're on campus.


Our Sight Based Decision Making Committee held their first meeting this past Wednesday! We need a community member (who is not a BWE parent) and business owner to make our committee complete. If you have a neighbor or know a business owner who may be interested, please have them email lhagebusch@conroeisd.net.

Deliveries (forgotten items & lunches) may be placed on the cart, just inside the front entry doors.

VOLUNTEER in CISD

Volunteers in CISD must complete the district application each year. The application is linked here for your convenience.

CISD PK-6 Cell Phone & Smart Watch Guidelines

  • Cell phones and smartwatches may be used respectfully and responsibly before school and after school.

  • Cell phones and smartwatches should not be used to capture video, audio, or images at school or on the bus.

  • Cell phones and smartwatches should be set on silent mode and kept in backpacks, lockers, or other designated storage areas and should not be visible during school hours including instructional time, reward time, free time, lunch, and in the hallways.

  • Use of cell phones and smartwatches may be permitted in extenuating circumstances with permission from a staff member. (ex. to notify parent/ guardian of a late bus)

TARDIES & EARLY SIGN OUT

Students arriving after 7:55 a.m. are marked tardy. Early check-out ends @ 2:30 p.m.

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES

All transportation changes should be emailed to birnhamwoods@conroeisd.net.

Changes must be received by 2 p.m.

BIRTHDAYS

Birthdays are the best days and we love to celebrate at BWE! We do not however, host birthday parties at school. Parents may send gift bags of inedible items (pencils, bubbles, party favors) for students to share with their class. Edible items may be sent, inedible items are preferred. Due to allergies and dietary restrictions, edible items MUST be store bought with a legible nutrition label.
