One Well Fundraiser
Please join us at McDonald’s on State Bridge Road (Saddlebrook Shopping Center in front of Kroger) on Saturday, April 27 from 10-1. Our students will be outside showing their TRMS spirit and collecting money to build our THIRD well in Nigeria. Come by to say hi and drop a donation in their white buckets!
The One Well Club at TRMS is working hard to bring clean water to schools in rural Idanre, Nigeria. In 7th grade social studies, students learn about how unequal access to clean water impacts irrigation, trade, industry and drinking water. Students are shocked to learn that some adults and children in rural areas walk miles every day to get water, and the water is not always clean. Our 7th grade students decided to so something about it, and 3 years ago they created the One Well project. One Well was created to raise money to build one well at a time in the community of Idanre. The first well was built at the Baptist Primary School in 2021, where students did not have access to clean drinking water. The second well was built at a secondary school in the same area. We are now raising money to build our third well in the area.
Please donate at McDonald’s on April 27 or drop a donation anytime into the blue water barrel located just inside the school entrance! Thank you!
Milestones Reminders - Please help!
Milestones testing began today with the Algebra EOC for the students taking Algebra or Enhanced Math 8/Algebra.
Please help make sure your students are prepared each day of Milestones testing by having their computers fully charged. Students should bring their computers and chargers to school each day.
Students need to arrive on time for school, especially on the days they are testing. Please help ensure your students leave in plenty of time to arrive at school if they walk or are driven to school.
Please note testing is separated by grades this year. The 8th grade is testing on different days from the 6th and 7th grade students. We will be utilizing a variety of bell schedules to maximize instructional time for students.

Meet Our Summit Counselor
Greetings, TRMS Community!
I would like to introduce myself as your School-Based Mental Health Therapist Nehemiah McClendon, M. ED, NCC, LAPC
I am here at your service to help your child with navigating the challenges of academic life while also addressing personal emotional needs can be overwhelming. I am returning for my second year here at TRMS and am thrilled to continue to do great and impactful work with our students. During my tenor at TRMS I have collaboratively worked with administration and teachers to provide individual, group and famly services for TRMS community.
As a therapist I Can Help:
🌟 Individualized Support: I recognize that every student is unique. With one-on-one sessions tailored to each student's personal experiences, allowing for a deep exploration of thoughts and feelings.
🌟 Anxiety and Stress Management: From exam jitters to social pressures, anxiety can take a toll on a student's well-being. I’m working to equip students with practical strategies to manage anxiety and stress effectively.
🌟 Depression Coping Skills: Depression can cast a shadow over even the brightest moments. Our therapist provides tools and techniques to help students regain a sense of control, build resilience, and find joy in their daily lives.
🌟 Emotional Awareness: Our therapist guides students in understanding their emotions, helping them to recognize triggers and respond to challenging situations in healthy ways.
🌟 Supportive Environment: Sometimes, all it takes is a listening ear. Therapy can create a judgment-free space where students can express themselves openly and honestly.
Mental health matters. I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and I’m here to help break down stigmas associated with mental health challenges. By providing an accessible platform for students to engage in conversations about their well-being, we aim to create a culture of acceptance, empathy, and understanding.
How to Get Started:
Speak to Your Child: Initiate a conversation with your child about their feelings and emotions. Let them know that our therapist is here to provide guidance and support.
