PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE - Mr. Goodrich
Nederland Middle-Senior HS Community,
I am heading back to Michigan this weekend to look in on an old family friend. He was my dad’s best high school friend and he introduced my mom to my dad. My mom and dad passed away years ago, so I try, as much as possible, to keep in touch with my extended family and friends back in Michigan as much as I can. Anyway, I’ll be seeing Pat and catching a Michigan State Football game as well.
On Monday, I will be heading to Florissant, Colorado for a few days at High Trails Camp for the sixth grade outdoor experience. This will be my 3rd year attending the camp. It is a highlight for the students, counselors and teachers who get to attend the three night, four day adventure. Thanks to Lori Kinczel for organizing this year's trip. It snowed last year, and it looks like it may snow again next week.
I’ll miss the State Cross Country meet down in Colorado Springs this weekend. I know our Ned runners will represent us well. Go Panthers!
School closings, cancellations and two-hour delay protocols
With possible accumulating snow coming our way next week, I wanted to provide everyone with the BVSD announcements regarding winter weather advisories. See link https://www.bvsd.org/departments/operational-services/weather-closures
Enjoy the weekend,
Gavan

NMSHS COMMUNITY - HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP!
It takes a village to keep a rural school functioning well and running the fantastic programs and events we do. Please consider donating just a little bit of your time to the NMSHS Community.
Volunteer Help Requested
Some NMHS students require a little help with keeping track of their assignments and course expectations. You can make a huge difference by volunteering. We are seeking a few parents willing to meet individually or in small groups with NMHS students. Volunteers would meet weekly with students who are selected by our school counselor, Ms. Pries. Parents are not required to master content; they are just willing to support our students in knowing what is required, keeping a schedule that supports productivity, and a strategy to avoid forgetfulness or procrastination.
If you are a parent who would like to be part of this project, please sign up with the link. We will provide training and support. Thanks in advance.
