Charger Check-In

This week we had two safety drills at school - our first fire/evacuation drill on Wednesday and our severe weather/tornado drill on Thursday. Our teachers and aides did a stellar job of preparing students for these experiences and because of that our students demonstrated excellent behavior during the drills - they were quiet, focused and serious. We will have two additional fire/evacuation drills in the coming weeks and our lockdown drill is scheduled for Thursday, October 17.

Thank you to everyone who had Lou Malnati's for dinner on Monday night to support FSA's Eat & Earn! And thank you to all the school families, faculty and staff who participated in Thursday's dress down to support the fight against childhood cancer. We had lots and lots of yellow/gold today as well as pink, blue, purple, many other colors plus so many St. Baldrick's t-shirts!

October is the Month of the Holy Rosary. One of our October traditions at St. Catherine is for students, staff and faculty to gather in the hallways on Tuesday mornings and recite a decade of the rosary together. It is a lovely way to start the morning.

As we prepare for the coming of girls volleyball, boys basketball and indoor soccer, please make note of the requirement for a current school physical - as well as a waiver and concussion form - in order to participate. This includes evaluations and practices in addition to games. If your child does not have these items on file with the school, they will not be able to participate. This is a state requirement.

We are doing the Walk-a-thon (October 18) a little differently this year. The School Advisory Board has partnered with Booster.com to run the fundraiser. Booster provides a platform that allows families to sign students up and promote the fundraiser to family and friends (similar to American Heart Association or St. Baldrick’s fundraising) to help raise fund to support our school and teachers. They also help us coordinate the day-of event to make it super fun for the kids!!!

Indoor Soccer Registration for the St. Gerald's Co-Ed K-4 Soccer League is open and closes on Monday, September 30th at 4 PM. Please complete this registration form.

As a reminder, all student athletes will need a valid sports physical, waiver, and concussion form on file prior to the start of the season. Your child will not be able to participate without all three of these items on file.

Payment for the Indoor league will be collected on Monday, September 30th from 6:30-8:00 PM in the Gym Vestibule. No late registrations will be added. Please reach out to Karen Brogan and/or Katie Fitzpatrick-Terrill with any questions.

Please complete one form per child, per sport. There are multiple sections. You will receive an email of completion.

Registration will close on October 11. We will NOT accept any late registrations due to the requirement of sports physicals to the school and deadlines for the number of teams required to the leagues. There will be no exceptions.
