5th Grade Choice of Subject/Electives
Club Hill STEM is offering two opportunities for parents to use the computer lab to select electives for their 5th graders moving on to 6th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a great chance to review teacher recommendations and choose electives for middle school. To ensure we have enough staff available to assist, please RSVP for one of the following sessions using the link: https://forms.gle/vhsx7cmy5ZNpjFEUA
⚠ Important: If you do not select electives during the window of March 26th - April 8th, the School Counselor (Ms. Kneedler) will make selections for your student. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and look forward to assisting you!
Middle School Band
If your 5th grader has chosen Band as their elective for next year, be sure to check out the attached flier! It contains important details about the GISD Middle School Band screening for each middle school. Don’t miss this opportunity to help your child get ready for an exciting musical journey!
April Guidance Lessons
Tips to Use to Help Children Learn How to Become Problem-Solvers
1. Give kids the chance to come up with their own solutions.
2. Help children break down large problems into small, more manageable ones.
3. Allow for failure.
4. Share your problem-solving experiences.
5. Seek a child's advice, when appropriate. It can provide a sense of triumph when they solve a problem for someone else.
6. Make problems fun by posing hypothetical situations and asking kids how they would handle them.
