College and Career Newsletter
December 2022
From Mrs. Myrick
Seniors: As a reminder, please be completing the College Acceptance Form below. I would love to put up some more college names on the Class of 2023 College Acceptance Board outside my office! With most regular application deadlines being the beginning of January, please make sure you have asked your recommenders to write any letters you need as early as possible! If you have a deadline before January 20, please send out requests for letters and transcripts by December 10. Between December 21 and January 9, staff will most likely not be checking emails or working, so please be on top of everything before break begins!
Senior Parents: We have now entered into scholarship season! The Scholarship Newsletter (button linked below!) is a great resource for you to use. I will add scholarships to this same link as I find ones that would be beneficial for our STEM seniors!
Juniors: At the beginning of next semester you will receive your After Graduation Packet. Once these are completed, I will begin scheduling meetings with each of you to determine your post graduate plans. Start thinking about your future now! It is the time to start thinking about where you want to go to college! Go to as many college fairs as possible, speak with all different types of schools, and sign up to get on the mailing lists for those colleges.
Junior Parents: I will be hosting a College Night sometime towards the beginning of the semester that goes through the college application process. As soon as this date is confirmed I will let you know! If you are unable to attend, this presentation will be repeated in August or September of your child's senior year as well.
As always, feel free to come by my office and chat, email, or schedule an appointment if you have any questions!
- Myrick
