I am truly honored to address you as the new President of the Indiana State Association of Blood Banks. I step into this role with a deep sense of responsibility, following in the footsteps of accomplished leaders who have paved the way for our community and mission.

As we navigate the evolving challenges and opportunities in blood banking and transfusion medicine, I am excited to collaborate with each of you in our mission to disseminate knowledge and foster the exchange of ideas related to blood banking and its technical methodologies. Your unwavering commitment to excellence is genuinely inspiring, and together we can continue to advance best practices and advocate for the vital work we do.

In the coming months, we will host a variety of exciting educational events. I wholeheartedly encourage your active participation, as your voices, experiences and expertise are what inspires and enriches our organization. Additionally, as we strive to grow and expand our services throughout the state, I invite non-members to join us in the endeavor. Together, we can continue creating a thriving community that excels in advancing our mission and drives communal immunohematology and transfusion medicine knowledge.

We’re excited to announce our upcoming events for 2024! Whether you’re looking for quick, focused gatherings or an in-depth professional development experience, ISABB has something for everyone.

**Small Gatherings: “Indy Nights” & Fort Wayne Spring Meeting**

**Indy Nights**: This casual, one-hour meeting will take place in April in Indianapolis. Perfect for those looking to network and discuss focused topics in a relaxed setting.

**Fort Wayne Spring Meeting**: Another small, one-hour meeting is planned for May/June in Fort Wayne. Stay tuned for the exact date!

**Why Attend?** These shorter gatherings provide an excellent opportunity to connect locally with fellow professionals, exchange ideas, and stay engaged without a large time commitment.

**Annual Meeting: Fall in Fort Wayne**

Our **Annual Meeting** is a full-day event, offering a more comprehensive experience. This is our flagship gathering of the year, designed to:
- Provide in-depth educational sessions.
- Host expert speakers from the blood banking and transfusion medicine fields.
- Offer ample networking opportunities with professionals from across the state.
- Showcase vendor exhibitions and updates on the latest technologies and practices.
