Graduation Master of Ceremonies
Graduation is just around the corner! We will have a Graduation Master of Ceremonies for our 2024 Cambridge Commencement Exercises. The MC will make an introductory speech at the beginning of the event and introduce speakers throughout the ceremony. Seniors interested in auditioning for this important role, please complete the form below by March 15, 2024, at 4:00 pm. Audition times will be sent the week of March 18, and auditions will take place the week of March 25, 2024.
Course Registration 2024-2025 - Next Action
If you have not submitted your Course Selection Package, it is now past due! Counselors have begun processing course selection forms and will be completed with this step by March 1.
Next Action!
On March 5, during B2 students will receive a Verification Sheet. Please make sure you receive this document from your B2 teacher. Unlike in previous years, students will not be completing an immediate Round 2 of Course Verification. This form is for the student and family to keep, to ensure that all changes that were requested were made.
If changes were not made or if there is an inaccuracy, students must return the Verification Sheet, with:
A. the inaccuracy highlighted
B. an annotation of the necessary change
C. parent and student signature
If A, B, and C are not on the Verification Sheet, the changes will not be made.

Academics
Dual Enrollment/HOPE-Zell Miller Scholarship and Selective Services
All males age 18 and up are required to register for the Selective Services at www.sss.gov to qualify for any state or federal aid per Georgia Law. This includes dual enrollment funding and HOPE/Zell Scholarships and Grants. For mor information and to register visit Selective Service System.
Submitting Required Test Scores for Zell Miller
Zell Miller Scholarship hopeful students are required to upload their Sat or ACT test scores to gafutures.org to meet all requirements for the award. A 1200 SAT or 26 ACT is needed along with a 3.7 HOPE GPA to qualify and four rigorous courses defined by Georgia. Student Finance Commission.

ACT Day - March 13
Juniors and Seniors who are registered for the March 13 ACT will receive communications to their FCSTU email regarding testing details.
Students not taking the ACT, will have an asynchronous day of learning from home. Students must complete assignments provided by their teacher.
Summer Dual Enrollment
Engage in summer enrichment by taking advantage of free college courses offered through Georgia's Dual Enrollment program! Students can get ahead and earn both college and high school credit.

Changes to Gifted (TAG) Internships
Beginning in Spring of 2024, students will need to apply to be considered for
Gifted Internship for fall and/or spring semester of 2024-2025 school year.
1. Students complete the online application, print out and give to Mrs. Flores or Mrs. LeClair-Ash, due Thursday, February 29.
2. Give teacher recommendation form to select teacher by Thursday, February 29.
3. If application is approved, student will participate in an interview in early March.
4. If approved for Gifted Internship, student must attend workshops in the spring in order to prepare for internships during the 2024-2025 school year.
