A NOTE FROM MRS. B
Howdy Bronco Family! The first quarter is coming to an end. It’s hard to believe we have already been in school for NINE weeks! It just seems like it was just August 13th. It doesn’t help that we are still experiencing August temps either. Let’s hope cooler fall temps are in our near future.
In these past nine weeks, the students have worked so hard and grown so much academically, emotionally, and socially. The teachers have worked diligently each day to grow your child in all areas. Let’s continue this upward trend. The middle of the semester is where we tend to see students slide in effort, in positive behaviors, in taking care of their academic responsibilities, and in attendance. Let’s all work as a team to keep encouraging and motivating your child. Also, continue to make sure your child comes to school every day. Thank you for allowing all of us to continue to be such an important part of you child’s life. It is truly a pleasure!
Remember you can find the latest Meadow ISD news on the MISD website and Facebook page, so go check them out! Also, check your kiddo’s backpack and folders for any important paper notes that may have gone home.
Don’t forget to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about what is going on in the classroom. We are always here to help.
It’s ALWAYS great to be a Bronco!
Mrs. B

MRS. BAYER - 4TH GRADE
4th graders will have an agricultural learning field trip next week! We will attend Kids, Kows, and More in Brownfield on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15th. We will leave by 8:05 and will have lunch at the event. Then, we will return to school for the afternoon classes. Please wear a Meadow shirt and comfortable shoes.
MS. GAMEZ -5TH GRADE
4th and 5th Grade Math
-In 4th grade math we are wrapping up multiplication by multiplying a 2-digit by 2-digit number. We will start long division next week, or like one student (now a freshman) would say multiplication in reverse. We will start dividing a 2-digit dividend by a one-digit divisor and gradually go up to a 4-digit dividend by a one-digit divisor. This is when knowing our multiplication math facts comes in handy.
-In 5th grade math we just wrapped up our Financial Literacy Unit and have started place value. We will be working with decimals again this year, but this time we will go to the thousandths instead of just hundredths like 4th grade. After the Place Value Unit, we will go on and add and subtract decimals and later multiply and divide them.
-Please have your child practice multiplication math facts every night for a few minutes. It helps tremendously especially in long division, getting common denominators, and simplifying fractions because we are heading towards fractions.
Thank you,
Stacy Gamez
MRS. GUZMAN - 5TH GRADE
5th Grade:
We have spent the week doing force and motion! We made balloon rockets and studied everything force!
4th Grade:
We started force and motion! We tested and created our own investigation on toy cars and the frictional surfaces!
