May 9- K-11 Grades Due

May 21- End of fourth quarter, classes end

May 26- Memorial Day - offices closed

To all who signed up for the AK Star,

Assessments start this Monday. If you are unsure what days and times you signed up for, contact your advisor. If your student is ill or you are unable to make your scheduled time, let your advisor know, and we can schedule a make-up test.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. (9:00 am test time arrive at 8:45 am, or 1:00 pm test time arrive at 12:45 pm)

The average student completes each test in about 60-90 minutes. Some students may take longer.

Sophomores and juniors, now is the time to request King Tech courses for the fall! Don't wait, time is running out. King Tech will run their lottery the week of April 7th. Contact your advisor to request classes.

The sessions will run from 9-11 in the AM and from 12:30-2:30 in the PM. Closed for lunch: 11-12:30

Students should be dressed like they are going for an interview and bring a resume if they have one.

With all the talk of volcanoes recently we want to take care that our children aren't overly frightened. Why not take some time to learn about the science of volcanos? Kids are naturally curious and the more they understand the less afraid they will be.
