📝 Spellathon Prize Wrap-Up! 🎉
The final Spellathon experience prizes were wrapped up this week! Students who earned top prizes enjoyed a fun afternoon of games, snacks, and Eegee’s icees with Mr. Pearson, our awesome chess teacher—and some lucky winners also had a special lunch with Principal Bolasky!
A big thanks to all the students who worked hard on their spelling tests, and to everyone who helped organize these experiences. We’re proud of our CREW for making this year’s Spellathon such a success!

A huge thank you to Kendall Pendlebury for leading the charge as this year’s Teacher Appreciation Committee Chair, and to everyone who helped make the week extra special! From the amazing chalk messages during Chalk the Block to the heartfelt paper heart chains from students, customized gifts, and a delicious Postino lunch on Monday—we hope our teachers felt all the love.
And of course, the biggest thank you goes to our incredible teachers and support staff who make Sam Hughes such a special place to learn and grow. We appreciate you more than words can say! 💜

Join us in the Sam Hughes Library for our final PTA meeting of the year! We’ll hold elections for next year’s board and celebrate all the amazing events and programs your support made possible.
Several leadership roles will transition as current members complete their two-year terms. We’re excited to welcome new faces to the board and look forward to keeping the momentum going into next school year!
