Upcoming Events

June 2-5- COC Final exams. Students will attend assigned study sessions that week to prepare for their exams.

June 4- Senior Sunset and Graduation Rehearsal

June 5- Last day of school & AOC Graduation for Seniors at 6pm in the COC PAC

Wednesday, August 6th: AOC Summer Check-In (pictures, text books, schedules, ROOTS)

August 12th- First day of the 2025-2026 school year. The 2025-2026 WSHUHSD Calendar is attached.

Monday, August 25th: First day of classes for COC Fall 2025, traffic on campus, arrive early to school. Here is the COC Calendar for the 2025/2026 academic school year.

Schedule this Week at AOC for Seniors

*All Seniors have time to prep and finish their COC final exams this week. AOC classwork has been completed for all Seniors. They must attend campus events all week.

Monday- 12th Grade movie day

Tuesday- Muffins and organge juice celebration (change from pancakes)

Wednesday- Rehearsals at the PAC, graduation gown pick up, cords. ASB Senior Sunset event.

Thursday-Ticket pick up on campus for Seniors and panorama class photo at 5:00pm and graduation at 6pm.

Friday-June 6th - 10 am - 2 pm diploma pick up and CTE Certificates

Monday, June 9th-13th - 9 am - 3 pm diploma pick up and CTE Certificates

This week, our students have final exams for COC. Students will attend AOC classes for study sessions and preparation for their COC exams. Freshman will finalize final project presentations and ICPs. Each grade level has a special schedule for student study sessions and preparations for their finals at COC. Our school computer lab is open from 7:45am-3:00pm daily for any students who need additional time studying or a work space.

Exciting news for AOC students who are interested in an extra opportunity. Worldstrides Organization has announced plans to lead another unforgettable educational trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City in 2027 for AOC students. The Shapiros are doing a "soft rollout" to allow early sign-ups, giving students the opportunity to spread out payments over a longer period. A formal informational meeting is scheduled for August or September 2025, when full details of the trip will be shared and planning will officially begin. Interested interested who would like to attend can scan the QR code provided to access the sign-up link and additional information. Don’t miss this chance for an enriching and memorable experience!

For the rest of the school year, students and parents are invited to share any good news that they are proud of with the rest of the AOC community. Please share the good news with me, jfine@hartdistrict.org and I will share it with the entire community. Let's celebrate our students' accomplishments together.

Located on the campus of College of the Canyons, AOC is proud to be the middle college high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District serving students 9th-12th grades in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students have the opportunity to earn between 24 and 44 transferable college units, prior to receiving their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Academy students pursue their post high school education by continuing at COC and completing their college transfer requirements in only one year after high school. Other AOC students go directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level. While attending AOC as a high school student, community college tuition is waived for established California residents.
