Principal's Message
Greeting families,
I hope you are having a fantastic and restful weekend if your job commitments allow it.
I was informed that the lockdown drill was successful, and all staff and students followed the procedures without incidents. As usual, we collected feedback, and we made upgrades.
This week we will celebrate the "dot day" and the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The dot day is based on the book "The Dot." by author and illustrator of children's books Peter H. Reynolds. "The Dot" has inspired millions of children and adults. Teachers use it to encourage creativity and instill confidence in students. Please see more information about what our campus will do on that day under the "upcoming events" section of this newsletter. If you want to read more about it, please click here.
We will share Hispanic Heritage Month activities by the end of this week.
If you have questions or comments, please do not hesitate and ask.
Thanks for choosing us!
Kind Regards,
Roberto Gonzalez

Meal Viewer App
The app has been updated, and now you can see the monthly school menu.
I requested that the school's name be updated and our crest be included. These changes should happen this week. In addition, I added the link to the community website, which is also attached here for your convenience.

Playground
I have been working with the bond office and the general contractor to finalize this project. As per your feedback, I have requested the following:
- Safety inspection of the temporary playground. Check if the installed structure is level and safe for students' use.
- Trim the tree branches around the playground area.
- Extension of the playground area in the front of the building.
- A temporary chain fence as the permanent wall is still not ready.
Please, email me if you need more details or want to share other suggestions.
Thanks for your patience as I ensure the students can safely play outside.
September Attendance Awareness Month
September is Attendance Awareness Month, a time for individuals and organizations to learn about attendance issues, absenteeism, and the effects attendance can have on academic performance and success.
School attendance is essential to academic success, but too often students, parents, and schools don’t realize how quickly absences, excused or unexcused, can add up to academic trouble. Chronic absence— missing just 18 days per school year— can lead to third graders being unable to master reading, sixth graders failing courses, and ninth-graders dropping out of high school.
