A Note from Mrs. Goldsworthy
Hello St. Eugene families,
I would like to invite all of you to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Early Childhood Center! We will be gathering at the corner of Greystone and Hefner following the 9:30 am mass this Sunday (around 10:45 am).
Our first week of testing is complete, although not without some hiccups with the new testing system. We are working through it, and students and staff have been very patient during the process. Testing continues next week, so please make sure students arrive at school on time, well-rested, and ready to learn!
Faith Forward,
Mrs. Goldsworthy
Eagle Expo Coming Up Soon!

Green Team Next Week!
Let’s get together to celebrate our Earth for the month of April. For our meeting on Monday, April 15th, we will have a school grounds clean up and trash treasure hunt!
Meeting will be held from 3:15-4:15pm. Mrs. Silvernail will gather everyone by the steps at the school’s main entrance right after school, and pickup will be in the same area!
Please RSVP by 2:45pm the day of meeting - Brigitte Silvernail: 918-706-2815
April 15th - School grounds clean up and trash treasure hunt
April 22nd - Earth Day and Zero Waste lunch (see below).Zero Waste Lunch Day
Monday, April 22nd Earth Day!
In order to bring attention to everyday waste, Green Team is encouraging students to bring their lunch from home on Monday, April 22nd, and to try to do so in a way that results in nothing being thrown in the trash. We have also worked with the cafeteria to offer a low waste option that day.
Instead of single serve chips or cookies in a plastic bag, pack sandwiches and snacks from family size containers in a smaller reusable container or bring whole fruit.
Use reusable silverware and cloth napkins.
Bring your own reusable drink bottles.
Forego plastic straws.
Try to pack right-size portions to eliminate food waste.
Google "Waste Free Lunch" for more ideas.
Every student who brings a waste free lunch will have their name put into a drawing for a Zero Waste Lunch prize! We will do a drawing for each lunch period. We have also worked with our hot lunch program to reduce waste as much as possible on this day. Students who finish everything on their tray will be eligible to enter the drawing for a prize from Green Team!
Thanks for Going Green at St. Eugene!

Support the Stone Family
Many of you know Jake & Danielle Stone and their children. They are longtime parishioners of St. Eugene, and their two kids both attended and graduated from CSSE in recent years. Jake was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, a diagnosis that came out of nowhere. Jake, Danielle and the children have a great attitude and are leaning on their strong Catholic faith, but the battle is just beginning. Jake recently underwent surgery that was followed by his first chemotherapy treatment, which floored him. More chemo treatments lie ahead, as do doctor visits, additional tests, the pursuit of potential alternative treatments, etc. It will be physically, emotionally and financially taxing. The Stones need our support. Please consider making a donation to help the Stone family and pray for Jake's healing. Additionally, pray for the intercession of Blessed Michael McGivney and Blessed Stanley Rother.
