🌍 Around the World with Gratitude – Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week (April 28 – May 1)
Pack your (imaginary) bags—we’re taking a trip around the world to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff during Appreciation Week, happening April 28th – May 1st!
This week is all about showing gratitude to the incredible people who guide, support, and inspire our children every day. Whether it’s a teacher, support staff, or specialist—each of them helps make our school a place where kids grow and thrive.
Our theme this year is "Around the World with Gratitude," and we’ll be “traveling” to different countries throughout the week, celebrating with international flavors, fun décor, and heartfelt appreciation from families like yours.
✈️ How You Can Participate (No Passport Needed!):
As we gear up to celebrate Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, we invite your family to join us on this special trip around the world with gratitude!
Each student will receive a blank notecard, their “passport” to share a heartfelt thank-you with a teacher or staff member who has made a difference. Help your child take a moment to write a kind note or draw a picture to brighten someone’s day and have your child return that to the appropriate person at the school.
Other ways to get involved:
• Send a thank-you note or drawing from your child. Bonus points for a greeting in another language or from your family's culture!
• Bring in a small treat or favorite snack your teacher might enjoy—extra fun if it ties into a country theme!
• Share a kind word or message with a staff member who has made a difference for your family
✨ Help Us Make This Week Special:
Our PTCO is organizing surprises and themed events for staff. Here’s how you can support:
• Donate food or items for our international-themed staff lunches and snack carts – Sign Up Here
• Help with "In-Flight" snack day or Travel Essentials Goodie Bags
• Volunteer your time to help decorate or set up meals
• Contribute financially to sponsor meals or appreciation gifts – Venmo @hollysptco
Whether your family is brand new to Appreciation Week or has joined in before, we welcome you with open arms. Every small act of kindness helps our staff feel recognized and valued.
