If you haven't registered yet for Dino Dash, we hope you will consider registering and selecting Legacy as your school. We are extremely proud of the fact that we have held the title for highest participating secondary school since the year we opened, and we have no plans of letting that trophy go! You can register for the 2K, 5K, 10K, Bike Race, or even purchase a Runnership (a sponsorship for a student in need), ALL of these count towards our registration, and $10 from EACH goes directly back to Legacy. See below for info to register. Thank you for your support!

Finally, we wanted to share that we have recently received several calls from community members regarding behavior in the shopping center across the street. We ask that you help us maintain a positive relationship with our business partners by demonstrating RISE in the community. If your student walks across the street after school, please remind them that the expectations we have at school and the expectations you have at home are also expected when they are representing out in the community. If you are picking your student up in the shopping center, we ask that you show patience in the lot. We thank you in advance for your support.

We are so excited to honor our first 24-25 Young Man of the month, Nehal Harapanahalli. Nehal is an active contributing member of the LMA community. We are so proud of his involvement in robotics and VE, his passion for mentoring younger students, and his volunteer commitment to CHOC. He has hopes of attending UCLA’s Mechanical Engineering program. Thank you to our community partners for highlighting our talented seniors.

Several Legacy Seniors took advantage of TUSD's CPI program over the Summer. Through this program students participated in a six-week internship in a career field of their interest, with various business partners in the area. Additionally, they had the opportunity to compete coursework and earn credits. Last night, TUSD celebrated their accomplishments. We are proud of our Legacy TIDE and their commitment to furthering their career development. Great job!

Attention Legacy families‼️ The TPSF Cross Country season is officially kicking off, and we’re inviting all students to get involved! Whether you're an experienced runner or just looking for a new challenge, now’s the time to join the Legacy Cross Country team. The deadline to sign up is September 20th, 2024, and the $45 registration fee includes entry to this year's Dino Dash, Tustin Unified’s exciting community race event.

Races are scheduled for October 8th, October 17th, and November 6th, and we need your help to bring home some championship banners to be displayed at our school! Encourage your student to represent Legacy and be part of a fun and competitive season. To sign up, simply scan the QR code above.

Not running this year? You can still get involved! We’re looking for student volunteers for our October 17th race to help record times, keep runners on course, provide support at the finish line, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours, develop leadership skills, and show their Legacy spirit! If you have any questions or want to learn more about volunteering, reach out to Coach Gray at tgrayburrell@tustin.k12.ca.us. Let’s work together to make this Cross Country season a memorable one!

Every year, the number of people in need of blood donations increases. This year, our Legacy American Red Cross club is hosting its second blood drive! We are calling all eligible Legacy students, staff, and families who meet the blood donation requirements to sign up and donate blood! Sign up through their QR code or link to donate blood on the 20th of September - our goal is to reach over 50 donations!

Listen to our Superintendent, Dr. Mark Johnson, speak about the outstanding achievements in the Tustin Unified School District along with his vision for this upcoming school year. President of TPSF, Kate Kersten, will also share how impactful the partnership between TPSF and TUSD has been for our students, schools, and community.

This week was Club Rush Week! Everyone had a lot of fun finding clubs they’re interested in and we can’t wait for all the fun things planned this year! Due to the air quality, Thursday and Friday’s clubs are moved to Monday and Tuesday next week.

Today during point break and after school, we had our Business of Gaming Super Smash Bros tournament! It was a very competitive, exciting, and fun event and prizes were awarded to the winners!

DRIVERS! Please remember to hang your parking passes in your cars! You must purchase a parking pass and bring in the required paperwork in order to park in the student parking lot. This is for your safety! Unauthorized vehicles will be reported!

Keep a lookout for mini dino ducks hidden around campus every Wednesday! It’s a fun competition to get excited for Dino Dash! Don’t forget to sign up or sponsor a runner to keep our winning streak.

Next week is our exciting Sponge Race lunchtime activity! As you can see, it got moved to September 19th, instead of last week because of the heat, but we will have so much fun with this fun and refreshing activity next week!

Head to the area between the stairs on Tuesday 9/17 for a sweet and refreshing treat during lunch! Don’t forget to bring cash to purchase delicious lemonade for only $1!

Next Friday, we will have our first RISE Pop-Up Shop! We will have circus animal cookies, airheads, and chips which you can purchase with your RISE Tickets. The location of the Pop-up shop will be on the high school lunch tables side of the amphitheater stairs. It will be available for middle and high school students!

Next Monday is our first TIDEpool Tutoring session. This is a time for Middle School students to receive help from their High School mentors. It will take place in Mr. Maduenos' room every Monday during point break.
