5K Registration and 4K Applications are now open for the 2025-2026 school year! Learn the full details about documentation needed at www.lexrich5.org/kindergarte n.

4K Notes:

Your child must be 4 years old on or before September 1st to apply for the 4K program.

4-Year-Old Kindergarten applications are available at your child’s zoned elementary school.

5K Notes:

Only NEW Kindergarten students for the 2025-2026 School Year need to register.

Kindergarten registration is available online.

* In-person registration may be available at zoned elementary schools.

** Students who are currently in the 4-year-old kindergarten program and in PowerSchool should not complete the new student process, as current students will automatically roll into 5-year-old kindergarten at the end of the school year. Parents will be prompted to update their information in FinalForms over the summer.

Per our student/parent handbook: A written note, medical excuse or electronic excuse form must be submitted for each absence.

Save time and gas by submitting your excuses online using this link - Online Excuse Form. You can upload medical excuses on this form, so no need to make a special trip to school. A link to this form is also at the bottom of each school letter and at the top of our website homepage.

If you prefer, medical excuses may also be faxed to the school at 803-476-3820.

STAFF MEMBER OF THE WEEK

March 21, 2025

I am pleased to nominate Kylee Denter for Staff Member of the Week. Ms. Denter is a special jewel to have in a work environment. She cares about the students she works with. Her calm spirit is able to settle down the children that need more patience. Her diversity is able to translate to the students that speak Spanish to bring understanding. She definitely has a gift working with children. Her compassionate heart and flexible personality adds so much value wherever she is. Ms. Denter is extremely talented in organization, time management, health, arts/crafts, cooking, and so much more. Ms. Denter is always willing to help when asked no matter the task. She is truly dependable. Ms. Denter demonstrates the true character of a Hero.

PHOTOS FROM THE WEEK

Our second grade Heroes received a special visit from Muffin the Therapy horse last week. Muffin, an American Mini Horse, is the first registered therapy horse in the state of South Carolina. She and her handler, Lindsay McDade, work for the Cayce Fire Department and have received special training to help individuals build resiliency and provide support during times of need. Our second graders said Muffin is "cute" and "very soft". Thank you Muffin, Lindsay, and the Cayce Fire Department for supporting our students and staff!
