NBHS Career Day - Wednesday, November 6th
NBHS Career Day was on November 6. Ms.Gray, our Career Day Coordninator did an outstanding job organizing and plannign all of the events! Our Keynote Speaker was Garrett LeVault. His message focused on taming technology to reach your goals. It was a great message for students and for adults! I have included his slide from his presentation on 10 Simple Ideas to Limit Technology as a great resource as a reminder of the things he presented.
We would like to thank all of our guest presenters for sharing their time and expertise with our students!

DÃa de los Muertos Display
The Spanish Club chose NBA Hall of Fame Player, Dikembe Mutombo, to honor this year in the hallway dispaly case for DÃa de los Muertos.
Spanish and Art Collaboration Project for Dia de los Muertos
This is the 14th year of doing the Art and Spanish Collaboration project for DÃa de los Muertos! Ms. Kennedy and Ms. Delai's classes had a great time painting canvases dedicated to a loved one, pet or celebrity. So happy that we are keeping this tradition alive, and we are excited that the next one will be in the new building!
Dual Credit Students Teach about DÃa de los Muertos
The Spanish Dual Credit classes taught Ms. Burke's 6th grade classes about the significance of DÃa de los Muertos 4th and 6th hours this week.
Spanish III and IV Projects
Ms. Kennedy's Spanish III class did their annual Skeleton Project for Day of the Dead. They had to research a famous dead person or character, decorate a skeleton depicting that person/character and present in Spanish using the past tense to describe why he/she was famous and why they chose him/her to investigate. Here are a few of the pictures of Iron Man, Bruce Lee, Lebron James and Dumbledore.
Spanish IV class did a new project this year. They chose a famous living celebrity to investigate, and they created an Ofrenda in their honor. Then they presented in Spanish using hypotheticals such as "If Kim Kardashian was no longer living, I would put cheesecake on her ofrenda because it's her favorite dessert." Here are a few for Kim Kardashian, Rudy (the football player from Notre Dame), Tyler the Creator and Adele.
