Great Start (Launch) to the School Year!
As always, don't ever hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns or compliments.
Speaking of Compliments... see below.
Curriculum Nights! Don't miss this important night.
Curriculum Night marks a great opportunity for parents to get to know what their child’s typical day looks like at Anderson. Parents get to hear from teachers regarding the curriculum, classroom routines, communication plans, as well as ask questions. Please plan on attending. Note, there are two nights scheduled based on grade level. See below.
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade: Monday, August 26th, from 6:00-7:00 pm.
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade: Wednesday, August 28th, from 6:00-7:00 pm.
Smart People Surround Themselves, (and their Kids) with BOOKS!
Get ready, the Anderson's Book Fair is coming to Anderson! We can't wait to see all of the wonderful books that will be available. New this year, the book fair will be open on both curriculum nights. We are looking for volunteers to help with set up on 8/23, take down on 8/29, and sales. Please email leslie.gustafson@d303.org if you are available.
Book Fair Hours:
- Monday 8/26: 9 am-3:30 pm and 5:45-7:45 pm
- Tuesday 8/27: 9 am-3:30 pm
- Wednesday 8/28: 9 am-3:30 pm and 5:45-7:45 pm
- Thursday 8/29: 9 am-12 pm
Got SeeSaw?
If you haven't done so yet, don't forget to connect with the learning and fun that is happening in your child's classroom by using the SeeSaw App. It is an easy, convenient, and informative way to stay connected with your child's learning. I know I love pulling up the pictures, or videos with my own children and asking them about their day at school.
You should have received log in information from your child's teacher about SeeSaw. Don't forget to sign up and log in. I promise you, you will be happy you did.
No more:
Parent: "What did you do at school today?"
Kid: "Nothing."
Now it can be:
Parent: "Hey, I saw what you and your teacher posted on SeeSaw! That was so cool. Tell me more about your...."
Kid: Oh yea, that was fun. It was hard work but I did my best. Even though I made some mistakes, I kept trying and figured it out. That's a picture of my class. That's a picture of my math thinking, my artwork, my story about rockets..."
