Stars of the Week
Nursery
Malachi for perseverance with his balancing skills.
Reception
Beatrix for enthusiastically challenging herself in all areas of the classroom, particularly her writing.
Year 1
Levi for enthusiasm and determination with sculpture in art.
Year 2
Hugo for really trying his hardest to make sure he reads his nativity lines loud and clear!
Year 3
Paige for being such a kind, helpful and considerate partner, explaining and helping patiently on team activities.
Year 4
Harry for having a positive growth mindset in Design Technology. Harry overcame obstacles and used his experience to encourage others.
Year 5
Mabel for her increased independence and positive contributions in class. She is growing in confidence and is always willing to share her ideas.
Year 6
Indie for making a huge effort to improve her handwriting and maintaining a neat style. In English this week she has also worked hard to include correct speech punctuation.
School Update
Scarlet Fever and Strep A Infections
You should have received a communication via email from The UK Health Security Agency Yorkshire & Humber Health Protection Team that outlines the risks and what to do if you have any concerns with regards strep A and Scarlet Fever Infections. If you have not received the email please do let us know.

Key Stage 1 Nativity
Next week on Friday 16th December, the children in Year 1 and Year 2 will be presenting their Nativity at 10am in the Cathedral. We do hope you are able to join us for this special event which will last approximately 30 minutes.
Christmas Parties
Christmas parties will be on the following days:
- Tuesday 13th December (pm) Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2
- Thursday 15th December (pm) Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6
The school will provide children with a snack and a drink at the party. Children may bring party clothes to change into at lunchtime for their parties.
Cold Weather
It is very chilly at the moment. Please do sent children with suitable winter coats, gloves and hats to help keep them warm when outside.
End of Term
Just a reminder that the school will break up for Christmas at 3.30pm on Friday 16th December 2022. School will reopen for children on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
