Dear Hózhó Families,

Read-a-thon - Thank you to everyone who participated in the 7th Annual Hózhó Readathon! This year we earned over $32,000 and students read more than 195,000 minutes! I appreciate your support as we encourage our students to read and earn money for school field trips!

Ask your students what they learned about the arts this week!

• Music - Nessun Dorma, from the opera Turandot by Puccini.

• Art - A classical art review. Every student needs to identify the art and artist of a selection of 10 great pieces and several famous architectural structures.

• Vocabulary - austere; severe or strict in manner, attitude, or appearance
