Principal Update Principal Update

Hello Woodstock Families,

Happy Thursday! As a reminder, there is no school Friday or Monday. Today is the last day of quarter three and teachers will be using Friday to complete report cards and Monday is a planning day for teachers, so students will return to school on Tuesday.

When students do return, we'll be launch our School Spirit Week:

  • Tuesday, April 8 is Woodstock Pride Day - Wear your Woodstock Pride shirt or any other Woodstock Elementary gear.
  • Wednesday, April 9 is "Move and Groove" Day - This aligns with our "Move and Groove" Arts Fundraiser and students are encouraged to wear clothing (and footwear) that is good for running and/or dancing. This means sweatpants, shorts, running shoes, sparkling clothes, headbands...whatever is needed for running/dancing.
  • Thursday, April 10 is Hat Day - Students should wear a hat of their choice. This can be a baseball hat, a beanie, a visor, a hard hat, a bucket had...any hat!
  • Friday, April 11 is Pajama Day - The whole school is invited to wear their PJs to school for a school wide PJ Day!

As already mentioned, next Wednesday is our "Move and Groove" Arts Fundraiser. You can read more below, but this is an opportunity for students to run and dance their way to raising money for the Woodstock arts program. Families can donate through this link. We've got a good start already...let's keep it coming!

Have a great four day weekend and we'll see you on Tuesday!

With Woodstock Pride,

Hello Woodstock community! The Move and Groove for Arts (formerly known as Run/Dance for the Arts) school wide fundraising event is NEXT WEDNESDAY, April 9th. These funds are what have allowed each grade level to have an artist residency program every year! (Think: Red Yarn puppets and En Taiko drumming!) Students will have the choice to run laps around the north field OR participate in a dance-a-thon during their hour-long grade level time slot during the school day. Please consider donating using this link! Parent/Guardians, if you'd like to volunteer please sign up via this Konstella link. Unfortunately, this is not a public event, but we appreciate your support for your students who will be participating.
