🚗 Student Drop Off/Pick Up 🚙
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE and ATTENTION TO SAFETY DURING STUDENT DROP OFF/PICK UP!
Thank you, Parents, for keeping kiddos safe by dropping them off/picking them up next to the sidewalk in the Student Drop Off/Pick Up area (just west of the front doors of the building).
In the morning, once your kiddo is dropped off along the sidewalk, you can pull out to the second lane to leave if you would like.
ALSO, during busier times in the morning, there is a second lane after you enter the parking lot you can choose to drive down and drop your student off in the middle of the lot. But please remind your kiddo to walk along the "caution tape" to the Para in BRIGHT GREEN, to walk them across the parking lot.
**If your student arrives after the bell at 8:15 am, please drop your student off at the front doors!
Thank you, again! Your support is so appreciated! We look forward to a WONDERFUL school year and an opportunity to serve your student!

NEDs Growth Mindset Assembly!: Never give up! Encourage others! Do your best!
Summit recently hosted an all school assembly called NED’s Mindset Mission. We hope your student was encouraged by the show which taught about having a positive Mindset for learning and life!
Mindset Mission yoyos are still available for purchase to support the free show and message. If your student has already purchased a yoyo, here is an important link to help them get off to a good start with proper string length adjustment, click here.
Additionally, here are a couple of our favorite follow up home resources from the Mindset Mission website. You may want to use these with your child as they are designed to go hand in hand with the program.
Parent Encouragement Notes
If you'd like additional resources, they are available here.
And don’t forget to ask your student what they learned in the show about having a growth mindset from YET the Yeti, Captain Kindly and during NED’s visit on the spaceship!

SECOND STEPS
Once you create an account, enter the appropriate activation key and enjoy the amazing resources to use at home.
4th Grade activation key:SSP4FAMILY74
5th Grade activation key:SSP5FAMILY75
Second Step® Elementary is designed to help kids succeed in school and in life by teaching them skills for learning—such as focusing attention and listening—as well as how to manage their emotions, solve problems, and make friends. These skills can help them in the classroom, on the job, or wherever life takes them.
SCHOOLS OF FISH! SUPPORTS SECOND STEPS
Be emotionally present for people. It’s a powerful message of respect that improves communication and strengthens relationships.
Tap into your natural way of being creative, enthusiastic and having fun. Play is the spirit that drives the curious mind, as in “Let’s play with that idea!” You can bring this mindset to everything you do.
Find simple ways to serve or delight people in a meaningful, memorable way. It’s about contributing to someone else’s life—not because you want something, but because that’s the person you want to be.
Take responsibility for how you respond to what life throws at you. Your choice affects others. Ask yourself: “Is my attitude helping my team or my classroom? Is it helping me to be the person I want to be?”
Social Emotional Learning: Thoughts, Feelings, & Actions!
