The students at Northside Middle School are committed to being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe! We demonstrate this commitment throughout all areas of the building. Our students work to earn STAR Rewards by demonstrating their contributions to our RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and SAFE school community.

Our Northside STARS are doing great things, and we want to reward their positive work towards the goals of improving literacy, attendance and accountability. Students are nominated each week and will be recognized on STARZ Morning News and presented with a goodie bag. The items on this list will help Northside provide incentive for staying focused on the goal and reward our Students That Are Ready to Succeed.

According to research, regular school attendance plays an important role in a student’s achievement and success. Attendance tips for a successful year:

1. Establish a regular bedtime and morning routine.

2. Avoid appointments and extended trips during school hours.

3. Keep track of your child’s attendance using ParentVue.

4. Emphasize the importance of regular school attendance with your child.

5. Discuss and address any anxiety, barriers, or negative feelings your child may have about school.

6. Communicate with the school and ask for help if needed

All students who would like to participate in any sport (conditioning, try-outs, and games) must have a completed sports physical dated after May 1, 2024.

we encourage all student athletes to visit their primary care physician for a comprehensive physical before competing in athletics. We do offer on-site physicals throughout the year (See latest schedule listed above) for individuals who cannot obtain a comprehensive physical. The cost is $20.00 (cash only). Please access the physical form (MS and HS links below) and fill out parts I, II, and IV prior to attending an onsite physical at one of our on-site locations. If any of the three parts are incomplete before attending an on-site physical, the student athlete will not be given a physical on that day.
