Boosterthon 2024
Thank you, parents and families, for your support! With your help, we surpassed our goal of $30,000 and raised $42, 924! This also means we’ve earned a new innovative outdoor learning space that we will begin building this year. We could not have done this without everyone’s help.
The entire BRES staff is grateful for the tireless work of our PTA with special thanks to:
Dr. Paulette Thompson
Mrs. Vaishali Verma
Dr. Erin Horne
The entire PTA Executive Board
All of the parent volunteers
We appreciate all teachers and staff for sharing this year’s Boosterthon character lessons, tracking class donations, and participating in class celebrations. And we know our Friday assemblies were a success thanks to Mr. Timothy Dodson, school counselor and emcee.
Special Education Services remains committed to supporting the recognition of Disability History & Awareness Month in our schools. This year's theme is "Unity in Diversity."
Volunteer Renewal Window Extended to October 14
The WCPSS volunteer renewal window for the 2024-25 school year has been extended to Oct. 14. We encourage you to complete your volunteer renewal. First-time volunteers can view Volunteering in WCPSS to learn more about the volunteer application process.
WCPSS Recognizes Indigeous People's Day as October 14
Indigenous Peoples' Day honors Native American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. The Wake County Board of Education, with support from the Wake County Indian Education Parent Committee, officially recognizes Monday, Oct. 14, as Indigenous Peoples’ Day via proclamation.
