Brief Message From the Principal

Dear Altoona Elementary Community,

I am so excited our school year is upon us! In an attempt to stay better connected, I will send out a weekly email highlighting our building, informing you of upcoming events, and timely reminders! In this update you will find the following:

Note the upcoming Back-to-School Night/Picture Day on your calendar
Review the new expectations for Drop-off and Pick-up for this year
Review the lunch menu for August
Get involved with our VERY supportive PTA

We are better together! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or feedback. I know we are on the same page in wanting our students to be as safe as possible and for our school to be the best it can be! By working together, we will make that happen!

Back-to-School Night/Picture Day!

Altoona Elementary Back-to-School Night

For Grades PK through 5th

Wednesday, August 21 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Practice your best smile --> PICTURE DAY!

Picture Day will be at Back-to-School Night again this year. All students need to get their picture taken between 4:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21st.

DOORS WILL OPEN AT 4:00 PM SO THAT OUR TEACHERS CAN BE READY

Families and students are encouraged to come and drop off their school supplies, meet their teachers, tour the building, pay on lunch accounts, pay student fees (cash or check only at the school), check out the PTA, drop off meds, and so much more!!

Students will need to get their picture taken at this time as well!
