Hi Friends and Family!

I've recently joined an online art gallery that partners with interesting locations and experiences to feature theme-created art that fosters community and conversation.

The next art show and artist talk will be June 5th from 6:30-8PM in Garner, NC. I have one large tryptic painting in this show (see above). I'd love for you to come and be a part of this experience! Please feel free to bring friends, family and coworkers who'd be interested in learning about the topic.

The exhibition extends to another day and also includes a staged reading on a poetic play specific to men of color. Hope you can make to one if not both events.

If you're interested in the art and can't attend, let's schedule a time to connect. Thank you! 😊

“Unspoken, The Weight on My Shoulders”

  • Opening Reception & Artist Talk (Annelies and other artists will speak)

  • Thursday June 5 :: 6:30PM-8:30PM

  • Southeast Regional Library, 908 7th Ave, Garner, NC 27529

“Stuff Inside My Head" Staged Reading” (details below)

  • Opening Reception & Artist Talk

  • Saturday June 28 :: 3:00PM-5:00PM

  • Southeast Regional Library, 908 7th Ave, Garner, NC 27529

  • In conjunction with the "Unspoken, The Weight on My Shoulders" art exhibition, we are thrilled to also present a staged reading of “Stuff Inside My Head” by playwright and author Michael Garcia. This groundbreaking play combines poetry and social commentary to address and confront the stigmas that continue to plague men of color and their mental health. Performance will include a post-show Q&A session with the cast and a mental health professional.
