DCIU TECHNICAL SCHOOLS
There was a presentation for all 10th graders regarding the Delaware County Technical School during homeroom on Tuesday, 12/17 in the auditorium.
This presentation was also open to any 9th graders interested in the Cosmetology program. Those students should see Mrs. Jones in the counseling office if interested in applying. kjones@haverfordsd.net

- Ice Hockey is #1 at present time in the Central League. The team beat Avon Grove in Overtime with a score of 3-2 Haverford: Goals were scored by goal by Shawn Yoder, Jack Brawley, and the overtime winner by Alex Scuderi!
- The Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving Teams had a great meet against Conestoga this week, falling just short of victories on both sides. The Fords broke four school records, two of which were broken by Caroline Whitney, breaking the women's 50 meter freestyle record with a time of 27.17 seconds and the women's 400 meter freestyle record with a time of 4:27.17 seconds. The quarter relay of Matt Casadei, Chase Rose, Sam Graaf, and TJ Hayes broke the men's 200 meter medley relay record with a time of 1:46.59 seconds, and lastly, the relay of Sam Graaf, Colby Whitney, Jacob Muntz, and TJ Hayes broke the men's 400 meter freestyle relay record with a time of 3:35.56 seconds. Individual event winners were Caroline Whitney, TJ Hayes, Winnie Hayes, Aaron Meade, Sam Graaf, Porter Shaw, Colby Whitney, and Devon Fix. Congratulations to the Fords on a great meet!
- Girls Cheer won 1st Place @ Springfield last weekend continuing their unbeaten streak.
- Boys' Hoops beat Upper Darby and Ridley last week. They play in a home double header Friday Night with the Girls's Team.
- Girls' Hoops beat Garnet Valley in the battle of unbeaten teams at HHS on Tuesday Night.
- Wrestling beat Lower Merion and Garnet Valley in their 1st two meets in Central League competition. HHS Wresting Tourney at Home all day this Saturday! Over 300 wrestlers will be in attendance! This past week shot putters Lucy Filkin and Colin Corkey finished 2nd and 3rd at the Race in The Valley.
- Indoor Track will be at UPENN's new indoor facility this January! Come down and see the team at PENN this winter.
