Dress Your Culture Day
Tuesday, November 26th, is Wear Your Culture Day!
We’re thrilled to invite all students to celebrate their unique identities by wearing clothing that represents their culture. This could include your ethnic heritage, sports teams, faith traditions, or even Cedar Island pride!
Every community we belong to shapes who we are and gives us reasons to feel proud. Let’s use this day to highlight and honor the rich diversity that makes our school so special.
As always, please follow our Cedar Island dress code. Outfits should be respectful, appropriate for the learning environment, and free of props or offensive elements.
We can’t wait to see how you express your culture!

Cedar Island students recently participated in creating a special piece of art for our hallway: A Jingle Dress! Read below about the history and importance of the jingle dress and be sure to check it out the next time you're in the building!
Lost & Found Deadline
Our lost and found area is full! If your student is missing any items, please have them check out the lost and found in the front entryway.
These items are also available for parents to look through during the school day between 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM; just please press the call button on the intercom and let the office staff know you would like to look through the lost and found.
All items left in lost and found over Thanksgiving break will be donated.
Counselor Newsletter
Report Cards
The end of the first trimester is November 26. Report cards will be available in ParentVUE on Wednesday, December 11.
Procedure Change
We are updating our student pick-up process to enhance security and promote a healthier environment.
When picking up your student early, please use the intercom to notify the office of your arrival. Our staff will sign your student out from within the office, and we kindly ask that you wait in the vestibule rather than entering the office itself.
We will begin implementing this change gradually and aim to have it fully in practice by winter break.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to create a safer and healthier school environment for everyone!
Winter Weather Attire
Winter weather is here! Please send your child with a warm coat, hat, gloves, and any other necessary layers. Students will have recess every day unless it is raining or the "feels like" temperature drops below -5 degrees. We will send students outside in the attire they bring to school.
Also, don't forget to label each item with your child's name. This helps us return lost or misplaced belongings.
