What a ka rawe wiki o Te Reo Māori it has been! The akomanga have all been practicing their Te Reo Māori and there has been a challenge for some waiata as well.
Our Kapa Haka group travelled down to Best Start preschool and performed for our iti tamariki. They did such a great job and enjoyed some time with the tamariki from there. Ka pai and kia ora to Whaea Adreena who organised our group and was the kaiwhakaako.
Mr Byers has had a miharo wiki at the Tumuaki Conference and is looking forward to being back with us and sharing his learning. It will be great to have him back with us recharged for our last week of term.
Good luck to our Bowls Teams who are competing today. Hopefully by the time you read this we may have results.

School Travel Plan
Kia Ora,
Matamata-Piako District Council are working with your school and Traffic Planning Consultants (TPC) to create a School Travel Plan to help make it safer and easier for students to walk, bike or scoot to school. The School Travel Plan will identify current issues/concerns and barriers to children walking, biking and scooting to school and aims to provide safer solutions alongside encouraging behavioural changes to continue making these solutions safe for the long term.
We invite you to fill in the survey below so we are able to analyse current data and safety concerns. Survey closes Friday 22nd September.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JQG3KNN
There will be prizes for the class with the most responses!
Although there is no budget allocated to making physical improvements at this stage, we are working with interested schools to make positive behavioural changes which will improve immediate safety and wellbeing and to make a plan so we are ready to take action when funding becomes available.
Kind Regards,
Alicia Symes | Infrastructure Assets Project Officer
