This is an introductory Arts, Media, & Entertainment course. Perfect for a student who is looking to take CTE courses and has an impacted schedule due to other activities or if you have a student in need of an ‘F’ elective- please share! Coastline Regional Occupational Program (ROP): Registration for Fall 2022 and Summer 2022 is now open!
Student registration for Fall and Summer ROP courses is now open! ROP is FREE for high school students and credits count towards graduation/transcripts. ROP classes are available after school. Students may see Ms. McDonald in the Career Center or self-register here: Please note: Students may not have more than 7 courses on their Beckman schedule including ROP courses. Internship courses are for students 16+ with transportation.

The Princeton Review is hosting a series of events from May 15th to May 19th aimed to combat the summer slide. Discussions include building study skills, writing academic essays, and how college admissions offices view high school grades. As you prepare for graduation, please make sure to place your final transcript request via Parchment. To place, your request, create an account or log in at Beckman High School Parchment Site. When placing your request, select “Hold for Grades.” We will send your final transcript when all grades are posted. All requests without a hold will be sent with the current transcript.

Junior Junction
- All 11th Grade students participated in the BCAP Lesson. This lesson provided students an overview of the “big picture” of the BCAP process as well as researching and preparing for the post-secondary option of their choice. All juniors now have access to their counselor's BCAP Google Classroom with detailed information about postsecondary planning.
- Based on this data from our pre/post survey, the 11th grade students are feeling more comfortable with where/how to find information about their post-secondary pathway of choice and how to access/submit the BCAP documents to their counselor and/or teacher if they need a letter of recommendation.
- We encourage rising seniors to finalize their postsecondary plans and college lists over the summer and begin the application and essay processes. This will hopefully reduce some of the stress that occurs with seniors handling their classes along with this process in the fall.

It's time to talk to your child/teen about their mental health when...
- You’ve noticed something just doesn't seem right, but aren't sure why.
- Your child/teen’s behaviors seem different than others in their peer group.
- Your child/teen is starting to have difficulties at home, school or with friends.

Freshman Forum
- Final exam week (schedule here) is coming up! Help your student prepare by using tips from this final exam wellness lesson.
- Check Aeries for any D's or F's to see if your student has any classes needed for summer school.
- If you want your student to stay A-G eligible to attend a 4-year university after high school, then they need to remediate the D or F grade on their transcript.
- If you want your student to graduate from high school with the correct number of credits and requirements, then they will need to remediate the F grade on their transcript. Here is information about summer school options through TUSD.
