Junior Junction
- All 11th Grade students participated in the BCAP Lesson. This lesson provided students an overview of the “big picture” of the BCAP process as well as researching and preparing for the post-secondary option of their choice. All juniors now have access to their counselor's BCAP Google Classroom with detailed information about postsecondary planning.
- Based on this data from our pre/post survey, the 11th grade students are feeling more comfortable with where/how to find information about their post-secondary pathway of choice and how to access/submit the BCAP documents to their counselor and/or teacher if they need a letter of recommendation.
- We encourage rising seniors to finalize their postsecondary plans and college lists over the summer and begin the application and essay processes. This will hopefully reduce some of the stress that occurs with seniors handling their classes along with this process in the fall.
Sophomore Stop
May is Mental Health month and this month we want to provide resources that might help guide you when it is time to talk to your children/teen about their mental health. Mental health is an important factor in academic and social success so addressing any possible issues would be ideal.
When Is It Time To Talk?
It's time to talk to your child/teen about their mental health when...
- You’ve noticed something just doesn't seem right, but aren't sure why.
- Your child/teen’s behaviors seem different than others in their peer group.
- Your child/teen is starting to have difficulties at home, school or with friends.
