Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
This week, BHS students celebrated Veterans Day by participating in commemorative activities in their social studies classrooms. Students were introduced to popular songs over the decades that discuss soldiers and war, and watched videos on the importance of Veterans Day, swearing in ceremonies and actual veterans’ stories. Students also wrote Thank You notes to Veterans, and these were displayed in our building. (See photos below.) BHS staff and students appreciate all of those who have served and continue to serve our country. Thank you.
This is a quick reminder that we are about half way through the second quarter. With the Thanksgiving break approaching, please work with your students to help them understand the importance of making sure they are staying caught up. A weekly grade check and discussion with your student will go a long way in helping them stay focused during this busy time.
We hope everyone gets an opportunity to enjoy this weekend. We look forward to welcoming your student back on Monday.
In service to our Bulldogs.
