1. Marking Period 1 Report Cards
Marking Period 1 ended last Friday. Report Card grades will become available on Monday, November 11 via ParentVUE Synergy. Any students or families that want a paper copy of the report card can pick up paper copies in the counseling office during lunches next week.

1. Basketball Tryouts
All 7th and 8th graders, Basketball Season is coming soon! Registration for the Basketball Season will open on October 28th at 12 o'clock. To tryout, students must meet the following criteria PRIOR TO TRYOUTS:
- Be academically eligible from Quarter 1 with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA with no more than one "E" on your report card.
- Have a current SR-8 Physicians Form English | Spanish form signed and dated by a physician within the last 2 years either turned in to the Health Room, Mr. Flanagan, or uploaded through the MCPS ParentVue Portal
2. Outdoor Education Forms
Attention 6th grade families, Outdoor Education permission slips and registration forms have been sent home. Please complete the forms as soon as possible and turn them into your Mission Planet Earth teacher.
Community Events
1. 28th Annual Sonya Kovalevsky Day
We are excited to announce Montgomery College is holding its 28th annual Sonya Kovalevsky Day on Saturday November 16, 2024 on the Rockville campus. The program goal is to increase participation of girls in STEM fields. Please see the attached flyers (English and Spanish). 2. Family STEM Day - November 9
Montgomery College Germantown is hosting a Family STEM Day on Saturday, November 9 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please use the link below for more information.
3. Montgomery County Speak Up Video Contest
Students interested in entering a video contest with a first place prize of $4,000 should click the link below. Videos are about raising awareness on the dangers of fentanyl. Entries are due by November 12.
