We experienced so much joy on our Wednesday early release day, especially at our all school assembly! We had another healthy competition amongst teams and our staff and also enjoyed a wonderful Jazz Band performance accompanied by Larry Montague with his epic Rap!

Additionally on Wednesday we announced to our 8th graders that their end of the year trip will be to Boston! Thank you so much to the 8th Grade trip Committee for their support fundraising and planning for this culminating celebration!

Next week we will celebrate Spirit week (see information below) as we work through our last week of school in the 2024 calendar year!

Activities Calendar

8th graders in Mr. Barnes’ Design classes are deep in the process of designing their plans for the electric guitars they’ll build. Currently, they are creating mock-ups and analyzing finished guitars from last quarter in order to plan their own, as you can see in the photos below. As in their Music, Art, and Digital Design classes, students are documenting their ideas and providing detailed evidence in their process journals. Ask an 8th grader in Mr. Barnes’ class about their guitar vision!

• To report your child absent from school or notify us of an early dismissal please leave us a message on our attendance line by calling 382-1297 before 8:30 AM.
• If you send a student to school with an early dismissal note or bus note they should bring them the office before TA.
• All bus notes need to be stamped/signed by one of our Administrative Assistant's in the front office. Students will not be allowed to ride a bus to another location without a note from home that is stamped/signed by the office.
