We’re excited to share the 1st session of the 2024-25 Soaring Hawks After School Enrichment Clubs! Clubs are free and take place September 16 to November 15.
Registration opens Wednesday, September 4, at noon and closes Friday, September 6, at noon. Please note that many clubs fill up within minutes of registration opening.
- Clubs meet immediately following school dismissal and run until 3:45 p.m. (clubs do not meet if there is no school).
- Students can enroll in up to two clubs each session. If there is still availability after Thursday, September 5, at 6 p.m., students may enroll in a 3rd club.
- Please carefully select clubs and double-check grade requirements; changes cannot be made to registrations.
- Options for transportation are available.

If you’d like help getting registered, an in-person registration session will be held Tuesday, September 3, from 5:15 to 7 p.m. at Deer Ridge Support Services Office, 6009 Creston Ave. Des Moines.
Help Make Clubs Accessible to All
A goal of our Hanawalt Community (PTA) program is to make after school clubs accessible to all students, regardless of barriers like cost and transportation. To achieve that goal, we need your help! If you can provide a ride home for students on a consistent basis, please indicate your interest when you register. This important volunteer role keeps our clubs open to all students in our community; it can truly be the difference in a child’s ability to participate. Thank you for helping in this way!
