THE BIG 3
1. Many of our semester classes will take their exams on Thursday, January 16. Teachers of these courses will provide more information in class this week. As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, January 17 and Monday, January 20. We hope that you all enjoy the long weekend!
2. Our sophomore students will participate in our annual College and Career Day on Wednesday, 1/15. See the information below for more details, as well as the bell schedule for all students on that day.
3. A notice regarding a change to our schedule on Tuesday, February 25 was sent to all families before winter break. Please know that only 11th grade students will attend school on this day so that they are able to take the ACT in a more productive setting. All 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students will not need to report to school on Tuesday, February 25. Please know that this change affects only high school students. See the letter below for more details.

SOPHOMORE COLLEGE AND CAREER DAY
All sophomores will be participating in College and Career Day on Wednesday, January 15. Students will spend half of the day learning about our career and technical programs that are available for them to schedule for their junior year. The other half of the day will be spent with counselors exploring the college and career process and making sure they are meeting high school graduation requirements. All students will report to homeroom to start the day where they will receive their schedule of activities.

Graduation Date for the Class of 2025
As we announced in the Spring, our Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 5:00 at Fife Stadium. Stay tuned throughout the year for more details!

If you think you could qualify for free and reduced lunch status it is IMPORTANT that you fill out the application. In addition to free and reduced meals, your child(ren) may qualify for additional cost waivers for college entrance exams and other school fees. JACKSON LOCAL SCHOOLS BACKPACK FOOD PROGRAM
The Backpack Food Program, a partnership with RiverTree Jackson, is a service we are
pleased to offer to the families of Jackson Local Schools. The goal of this program is to send
home a variety of easy, ready-to-eat meals and snacks for your child over the weekend.
There are no income requirements for this program. The bags will be delivered to your child’s
school and be ready for pick up each week.
