Math with Mrs. Skiba

I have a class website where students and guardians can quickly access information. You will be able to see our class calendar, daily notes and links to newsletters. Additionally, I have created an Amazon Class Wish List. I have told students if they feel that anything should be added to our classroom to let me know and I will add it. I will be continually adding items throughout the year. Please do not feel obligated to make a purchase, but all donations are appreciated. Continual desired items include antibacterial wipes and lined paper.

Please check PowerSchool weekly to stay up to date on your student's grades and missing work. PowerSchool will be your best resource to track your student's progress. Assignments are entered into Google Classroom but often times students forget to electronically mark they have been turned in so they will say they are late and/or missing when they have actually been turned in and graded. If you have any questions, please let me know.

This week we started the second half of Chapter 4 with Lesson 4.4: Writing and Graphing Inequalities. If your student would like additional resources for support I recommend the BIM website and Khan Academy. (Writing and Graphing Inequalities)

Next week we will continue with Lesson 4.5: Solving Inequalities Using Addition or Subtraction and Lesson 4.6: Solving Inequalities Using Multiplication or Division. If your student would like additional resources for support I recommend the BIM website and Khan Academy. (Solving Inequalites)

Next week we will continue Chapter 4 with Lessons 4.2: Slope of a Line and Lesson 4.3: Graphing Proportional Relationships. We will also have a quiz on Lessons 4.1-4.3 on Friday, January 13th. I encourage students to use the practice quiz and answer key to help them prepare. THE PRACTICE QUIZ MUST BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN ON THE DAY OF THE QUIZ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REDO!
