The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

Here are a few ways to "Win the Day"

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!
• "Be Kind" - smile, say hello, look out for your fellow vikings! Remember - everyone is going through a battle we may not know.. Be Kind Always!

Let's celebrate our School Counselors! Thank you Mr. Cisneros, Ms. Emter, and Mrs. Sampat for your dedication to Cerro Villa students!

The American Heart Challenge program kicks off on Monday and will run through February 18th! To join our school team, visit http://www2.heart.org/goto/cerrovilla . Students can raise awareness and funds for congenital heart defects, nutrition security, CPR training, mental well-being, and more as we work to end heart disease and stroke. Along the way, students will meet some of the kids they’re helping while learning about mind and body health.

Donations raised help fund research to improve treatments and survival rates for tiny heart heroes. Cerro Villa's goal is to raise $2000 during the two week fundraiser (February 3rd - February 18th) and have at least 375 students registered!

Hey CV Students! Welcome to the "Win the Day" Challenge!

What does it mean to level up? Think of it like a video game. In a game, you start at Level 1, and as you practice and improve, you can unlock new abilities and progress to higher levels. Leveling up in real life is about pushing yourself to get better, take on new challenges, and become the best version of yourself!

For this challenge, you’ll be thinking about how you want to level up in 2025. Maybe it's improving your grades, building better relationships with friends, learning a new skill, or staying more organized. Whatever it is, leveling up means making a decision to grow, work hard, and take action to improve yourself in a specific way!

Currently, many students have a well-known and insecure default password which can be guessed by other students or bad actors. Technology Services is asking parents to encourage or work with their children to set a new password. Password changes typically synchronize to dozens of applications in a few minutes. The password reset icon is in the MyOUSD Dashboard for all staff and students.
